I need help, can I contact someone?
Yes, please feel free to contact us anytime at
support@inyourclass.com. If you are logged in already, you can just post
on Ari’s wall.
Why do I need to sign up with an email address that ends with .cuny.edu?
InYourClass.com is created specifically for members of the CUNY community and as
such we can't allow outsiders to have access to certain information. Also its a
good way for us to trace back any malicious activity since each one of us is given
a specific email address. Basically we need to ask for CUNY email so that we keep
ourselves safe. Make sure you NEVER share your CUNY email password! We are asking
you to make up one, not give us yours.
I don't know the info to my email address, I can't verify my account. What do I
do?
If you don't know your CUNY email try to contact the information helpdesk in your
campus and they'll give you your CUNY log-on info. Once you log-in to your email
search for an email from InYourClass.com and click on the verifying link. Please
contact us at support@inyourclass.com
if you still have trouble.
How can I communicate with people in my class?
You can add them as a friend if you want to speak to them personally, or just write
on the class board and everyone in the class will see it. Also you can send a message
to anyone in your class even if they’re not your friends.
Where can I leave feedback?
You can either leave a comment on the Feedback Page or you
can email feedback@inyourclass.com.
How do I add classes?
After signing up you can use the search at the top to find your class, or go to
your profile click on the classes tab and you will see an "add more classes" button.
Find your department and click on your class. Once you’re in the class page, click
on the "join class" button and you’re done!
Can professors and staff join classes?
Yes. Professors are welcome to join classes and communicate with the rest of the
class.
Who can see my profile?
Only members of the InYourClass community can see your profile. You can even set
your privacy settings so that only your friends or classmates can see you and no
one else.
Does InYourClass take any fees from apartment rentals or sales between users?
No we do not collect any fees. All transactions are between users in their own time
and risk. We just provide the bulletin board where you can post your listings.
Can I check out other schools?
Yes, you can seamlessly move from school to school to check whats going on. Remember,
however that you default home school is the one you originally signed up for in
the registration process.
How can I post an event for all CUNY schools to see?
When you click on change schools, there is a specific school called "CUNY". It is
set up so that every user can see it.
